Capturing Family

We are born into an institution and we die in an evolved form: family. The character of the Black family in America is one of amazement, triumph, resilience, and sanctity. Because of violent relationships with social systems, it also harbors some of the deepest challenges and pains that we will experience in our lives. We learn to hone in the strengths of our people and shed the adverse patterns that can cause blockage. My rewards comes when I can capture the light of that brief moment in each family.
