Shackle Breaking

Careese represents a chain broken. The dynamic between her and mother is different than the relationship between her mother and grandmother. Even more different than the generation before that. Imperfect, she illustrates the possibility of breaking generational adversity that is embedded within our family patterns.

As she moves beyond high school and pursue her collegiate years, I’m certain she will be successful. The bedrock that she springs from is just a little bit (say a lot) more better than the foundation her mother had. As her uncle, I’m proud of her.
